For decades, the need in Hāna for a community-based commercial kitchen, agricultural aggregation space, and resilience hub has been identified by our residents, and now is the time for taking action!

Hāna community leaders who have been organizing efforts to develop the Hāna Hub Community Kitchen and Food Aggregation / Resilience Hub (Hāna Hub)
Hāna Hub at 20 Uwala Road in Hāna, Hawaiʻi
Located in the Hāna Agricultural Park, next to the Hāna Airport, the existing structures include a 2,016 SF 3 bedrooms/2 bath main residence built in 1980, a 1,000 SF open sided covered pavilion, and a 875 SF utility shed with kitchen and restroom facilities, both additions built in 2019.
Support for this project has come through grant funding provided by the County of Maui Departments of Economic Development and Agriculture, with fiscal sponsorship support from the Hāna Chapter of the Hawaiʻi Farmers Union United and for this lease with the Hāna Business Council.
Donate to Hāna Hub: Empowering Local Agriculture
Hāna Business Council is spearheading this GoFundMe campaign with an initial goal of $100,000 to begin building the project’s financial foundation and to cover the costs associated with overseeing the property and moving the Hāna Hub project forward, while other grant and revenue sources are being developed. We are working with community leaders to build this agricultural aggregation, commercial kitchen, and resilience hub in Hāna.

- Monthly rental, utility, and maintenance costs
- Planning, acquisition, and development costs – including appraisal costs, and project management
- Supporting community activities on the property with associated materials & equipment costs
- Building the capabilities of East Maui agriculture & bridging our resiliency network throughout Maui Nui and Hawaiʻi
- Creating a fund for grant matching & outreach
